How it works

Words are counted as groups of characters separated by spaces. Sentences end with . ! ? or the Hindi full stop (।). Reading time assumes 200 words per minute.

Does it count Hindi words correctly?

Yes. Hindi words are separated by spaces just like English words, and the Hindi full stop (।) is counted as the end of a sentence.

Is my text saved or uploaded?

No. Counting happens inside your browser. Your text is never sent to our server.

How many words fit on one page?

Roughly 250–300 words on a typed A4 page with normal font size and spacing, and about 500 words with single spacing.
