How to use
- Choose or drop your logo — a square image of 512 × 512 px or larger works best.
- Pick a shape, padding and background.
- Click "Download all", or download each icon separately.
- Upload the files to your website's main folder and paste the HTML code into the <head> of your pages.
How it works
The tool creates favicon.ico (with 16, 32 and 48 px images inside), PNG icons of 16, 32, 48, 192 and 512 px, and a 180 px apple-touch-icon.png for iPhone and iPad home screens.
Frequently asked questions
Which sizes do I really need?
favicon.ico for old browsers, a 32 px PNG for tabs, 180 px for Apple devices and 192/512 px for Android and web apps. The tool makes all of them.
My logo is wide, not square — what happens?
It is scaled down to fit inside the square with empty space above and below. For a better icon, use just the symbol part of your logo.
Why doesn't my new favicon show?
Browsers keep old favicons for a long time. Clear the cache or open the site in a private window to check.
