How it works
Photos are made at 300 DPI, the standard for printing: 35 × 45 mm = 413 × 531 pixels and 2 × 2 inch = 600 × 600 pixels. The 4 × 6 inch sheet (1800 × 1200 pixels) holds 8 photos of 35 × 45 mm or 6 photos of 2 × 2 inch, with thin lines for cutting.
Frequently asked questions
What size is an Indian passport photo?
Passport Seva asks for a 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm (35 × 45 mm) colour photo with a white background, which is the default size here. Always check the latest rules for your application.
How do I print the sheet?
Download the 4 × 6 inch sheet and ask a photo shop to print it as a normal 4 × 6 (postcard) photo print. Then cut along the lines.
Does it remove the background?
No. Take the photo against a plain white or light wall for the best result.
